(This is my position, and it may be quoted anywhere).

"Public education" is another word for "future of our children". What can be more important?

I am a parent and it is my responsibility to help my children understand that education is the key to everything, in 21 century.

Furlough days, introduced by the State, teach them otherwise. This is unacceptable.

No matter how much I love Hawaii, if my kids are mis-treated and their basic needs pushed aside, aloha and good bye.

However, I believe that people can make a change, and reverse wrong doings. That is the reason I am here.
